Developer Zoonami hiring for the Wii console

While it’s not exactly official, it appears that UK-based developer Zoonami is making plans to developer games for the Nintendo Wii console. This much was hinted via the company’s home site, which was advertising an opening for a Senior Programmer for the Wii. Here are the rest of their required criteria for the post:

  • Zoonami planning to create a new Wii game - Image 1 Responsibilities:
    • Design and develop robust code
    • Maintain, optimise and debug source code
    • Liaise with the development team to benefit project quality and time
    • Innovate and improve game features throughout production
  • Requirements:
    • Good knowledge of C or C++
    • Strong analytical, engineering, and organisational abilities
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Good time management skills
    • Ability to work in a diverse and creative team environment
    • 3 or more years programming experience

In case you’re unfamiliar with the name, Zoonami was founded back in 2000 by Martin Hollis, who in turn was the director and producer for the GoldenEye 007 FPS for the Nintendo 64. Zoonami would eventually create Zendoku for the Nintendo DS, and contributed mini-games and character designs for the Go! Puzzle mini-game for the Sony PlayStation 3.
