Lord of the Rings Online racial classes
There’s going to be a total of seven classes that you can choose from in J.R.R. Tolkien‘s Lord of the Rings Online. But depending on what race you primarily choose, you can only have a certain set of classes that will become available. For example, if you choose to be a hobbit, you can only be a Guardian, Minstrel, Burglar, or Hunter. Here’s a list of those seven classes:
Champion – available to man, elf, dwarf
These guys excel at combat. They can use a whole set of weapons and can cause substantial amounts of damage. Despite this, their motto puts defense as the best offense.
Guardian – available to man, elf, dwarf, hobbit
A skilled Guardian would want to grab the attention of the enemies. Their priority is to get their opponents off-guard and strike with a quick counter attack.

The Captains march on as the leaders of the troop, spreading hope and encouragement to their men. Their style of combat focuses on boosting the morale and combat abilities of those around them.

Lithe and (hopefully) unseen, the Burglars have the knack of striking from behind. Shadows and dark areas are their friends, and they use trickery and wits to win the battle.
Hunter – available to man, elf, dwarf, hobbit
These are the masters of the bow and arrow, and would rather strike their enemies from a distance. They are also known for setting up traps and luring unwary foes down into an ambush.
Minstrel – available to man, elf, dwarf, hobbit
Using tales and songs, the Minstrels focus on restoring the morale of their peers. Likewise, they can also make their enemies despair and cower in fright.
Lore Master – available to man, elf
These guys use their intellect to win the day. They use their knowledge to harm their enemies and place obstacles for them. And as a plus, they can even communicate with animals and tame them.
Now, while these classes are only available to certain races, of course, the race itself will determine how good or bad of a class you could be. Face it. Although all the races can assume a Hunter class, we’re guessing the elves would be better at it. Or say, when it comes to being a Burglar, maybe the Hobbit will excel?
All these nifty little details you’d have to mix-and-match in order to customize and develop your character to its full extent… It’s not just about brute force these days. It’s about strategy and foresight, planning and perseverance.
