New Escape From Bug Island screenshots
Yeah, the name change might suggest that the overly-conservative Title Police have been to work again (c’mon, Necro-Nesia sounded kickass!), but Escape From Bug Island still packs the same amount of intense bug-stomping-and-squashing action as the Japanese version. Judging from the changes that Eidos’ Sam Tehrani revealed about the game, it could very well pack an even more vicious punch than the original.
Anyway, the premise here is simple. You’re on an island crawling with crazy giant bugs who want to eat you. What do you do? Why, defend yourself of course! What, you were expecting maybe Gamera to come and rescue you? Don’t worry, though, because thanks to revamped controls and the new Quick Weapon switch feature, bug-splattering has been made easier for players. Just make sure you don’t run out of ammo.
Escape From Bug Island is currently slated for a May 15 release. In the meantime, check out the screenshots below to get your latest bug fix.
