Rich Rogers tees off for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 AU
IGN got the chance to talk with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 producer, Rich Rogers, and there certainly are a lot of interesting stuff on the Wii version of EA’s serving for the Wii.
Of primary concern to the developing team was, of course, the motion control. Says Rogers, “The biggest challenge we faced in getting the motion control just right was establishing a sense of connection between the user’s motion when compared to their own screen golfer.” Of course, it’s not hard to imagine why that would be such a challenge. After all, they had to make sure that the on screen golder would be in sync with the player’s own motion.
Apart from this, they also tackled the other modes that gamers can look forward to in the game. So, you may very well expect a total of eight arcade game modes along 12 different multiplayer game modes, not to mention the Stroke Play, Match Play, Skins, and more.
There will also be the Tiger Challenge and PGA Tour Season modes to add spice to your single-player game experience. So most definitely, there’ll be a lot to keep you putting on that green.
And what of the online functionality? Unfortunately, the Wii’s online component didn’t make it on time for them to integrate this function into Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07. However, all the other game’s features and modes will surely be able to make up for that loss.
More on the interview and some more screenshots after the jump!

Anyhow, they also talked a great deal about the functions of the control, particularly the dynamics of swinging the Wiimote and its effects to the on-screen player.
