The first ever Killzone 2 screenshot

It’s here, and from the looks of it, Guerrilla Games is delivering on all their promises – and then some, on what could be THE killer app for the PlayStation 3. Here it is, the first ever confirmed Killzone PS3 screenshot, freshly-picked from the bounty soon to be revealed in that legendary conventions of conventions, E3.

While it’s certainly not much – one screenshot – it certainly looks pretty, doesn’t it? The shadows are crisp and convincing, the textures and the models look reassuringly real and lifelike – not to mention that the signature Killzone feel is captured in the dark, claustrophobic and lonely-looking quarters. Definitely post-apocalyptic, and definitely delicious.

Don’t fret, though. This could only be the tip of the iceberg – E3’s not quite here just yet, and once it actually gets into full swing, we may be in for a next-gen information overload we’ve never experienced before. So keep it locked right here for any and all updates – we’ll be here to keep you informed as soon as they come in.

Thanks to Extinction (Unregistered) for lending out the uncropped image.
