With an eyepatch and cigar: MGS Portable Ops video review

As the very first tactical espionage special-ops game available for the PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is one of this season’s most anticipated games. We know that a lot of you have been airing out lots of “I wish they…” or “I hope it has…” comments in our blogs, and maybe some of you are still a bit hesitant with getting the title. Maybe this could help you with your decision to get the game or not.

Game Trailers has recently posted a long-and-short-of-it video review of the latest Hideo Kojima title, and they rated it with an overall 8.3 score. Why? Well, they do put out some balanced pros and cons, some of which being its playability as a portable game and its issues with battery life, and the little quirky eye patch that has you disappointed with the game’s control scheme and camera mishaps.

To say the least, this game can get annoying at times, but for the die-hard MGS fan, this is one title you wouldn’t want to miss. Considering that the MPO is deeply rooted into the whole franchise and is pegged to set the stage for MGS4: Guns of the Patriots, all of its cons with the camera angle and controls seem not so big a deal after all.
