The premise of the title is simple enough – players take on the role of a scuba diver who searches for treasure and sea life in the fictional Manaurai Sea. Despite that, Endless Ocean has become quite a favorite among fans because of the very extensive marine life present in the game.
Those who own a PlayStation 2 and have played the Everblue games might feel very familiar and at home with Endless Ocean. The two titles were both developed by Arika and revolves around the same plot. The main difference is that the PS2 titles only offers a first-person perspective while players can either go for first-person or third-person view in Endless Ocean.
The Japanese version of Endless Ocean (known as Forever Blue in the region) used to have a major glitch that prevented players from continuing with the game. But fans in other territories need not worry as all the bugged copies have already been recalled and replaced by Nintendo.
