Perhaps the biggest improvement in the game is the improved server browsing. The game will now recommend three “Hot Servers” which will allow the player to start at the beginning of a campaign with a good ping.
Players new to the whole Quake Wars experience will probably get shocked at the number of things they can do in the game as well as learning how to coordinate their actions with a team. Thankfully, id Software has come up with a solution for this: Basic Training. Players can actually get to learn the ins-and-outs of a game without having to worry about other online players griefing them for being new.
Auto-downloading for maps and mods is a feature that was sorely lacking from previous version of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Considering the number of mods and user-created maps that have been released, this couldn’t have come at a better time.
