Enterbrain Prez: wait for high-profile titles!

The PS3 may not be selling as well as it would like these days, but leave it to someone of great influence across all of console fandom to say something to lighten the hearts of PS3 fanboys everywhere. Hirokazu Hamamura, president of Japanese magazine publisher Enterbrain, said that interest in the PS3 is expected to rise once the high-profile titles come in force.

Speaking at a lecture recently, Hamamura said that the PS3 still has its strength in its roots as the successor of the highly-popular PS1 and PS2. With many of the great games set to come out for the PS3, its future success is evident, but is hampered by the lack of specific dates to wait for and increasing doubt among who are running out of patience for their favorite games to be finalized. He says, however, that once the PS3’s high profile titles come out, fortunes are certain to change as time passes.

He cites Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4 as two games to watch out for, saying that once the two games are out, PS3 fans can expect even more units pushed out as the primary reasons for people wanting the PS3 are revealed. In the meantime, all we have to is wait, and hope, and pray.
