EQ II players prepare for a wicked Christmas

The images above will determine an EverQuest II hardcore gamer from a casual one. At first glance, it seems that these were made for Christmas. Socks for Santa, gifts wrapped beautifully, warmth of the fireplace, yaddah yaddah…

But a trained eye will definitely find evil here. You don’t see it? Then you’re not much of a fan, are you? Pay closer attention to the Christmas tree. Instead of a star, it is capped off by what looks like a crystal ball. There’s something more to it, look closer. Come on, look!

Folks, what we have there is the city of Qeynos under fire. As some of you may not be aware, Qeynos is the fictional city of good in EQ II universe. It has an evil twin city, Freeport, and they are the last two remaining center of civilization after the great Shattering.
