eReader v1.31 and Coolplayer Released for PSP!
I have two great homebrew applications for you today from our Chinese PSP homebrew counterparts – eReader and Coolplayer. eReader is a homebrew application that allows you to read eBooks (as the name suggests) in both .txt and .chm formats as well as being able to display images and play MP3’s, so you can listen to your favorite track whilst reading your favorite eBook – what could be better?
Secondly we have Coolplayer, a media player for the PSP. You can use it to play APE, FLAC, WV, and AAC files on your PSP – some of these formats are capable of lossless quality! Coolplayer only works on 1.5, but I’m sure that with the 2.5/2.6 downgrader many of you are now on the magical firmware anyway!
Both of these homebrew applications are in Chinese, but they are very easy to use and I found quite easy to navigate, and eReader is perfect for reading English text files; with the added ability to play music in the background! eReader comes in both 1.5 and 1.0 binary versions, and so may be compatible with firmwares above 2.0. I am unsure if they are from the same developer, but the GUI‘s look the same, and they are very well made. Remember to use the O button to select an option if you’re used to using X! Thanks for sending these in and sharing them with English speaking PSP users, Vincent Zaho!
