Eric Lempel: PSP Firmware v5.02 available shortly

Eric Lempel at the PlayStation Blog has posted a quick updated  saying that the PSP Firmware v5.02 will be available shortly. How short is this ‘shortly’?  We don’t know for sure. But knowing how they like to sneak up on us, we wouldn’t be surprised if this lands in a couple of hours. Or next week.

v5.02 will supposedly improve system software stability during use of some features, including the PlayStation Store.

I just had to ask. You think this could be their response to Datel‘s PSP 3000 hack? *gasp*
