ESRB changes Assassin’s Creed rating from Teen to Mature
Some sneaky development is going behind the lines of Ubisoft Montreal’s much anticipated offering, Assassin’s Creed (Xbox 360, PS3, PC). No, Jade Raymond won’t be a secret character; ESRB seems to have had a change of heart, tagging the game with an M (Mature) rating from its original T (Teen).
Descriptors attached to Assassin’s Creed used to credit the teen-friendly rating to appearance of blood, violence, and strong languages, but it didn’t take more than two weeks since ESRB rated the game before the same descriptors earned an M.
Previous boxshots revealed PEGI’s 16+ for Altair’s endeavors, and no word has surfaced if the European rating system will follow any changes. We’ll make sure to watch for official announcements, so watch this space!
