While many of you have probably rumbled with Ness on the previously released Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it doesn’t hurt to take a look at the game from where his more humble beginnings started. The ESRB recently updated its site and posted a rating for the classic SNES RPG Earthbound for the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console service.
Hailed one of the most highly acclaimed RPG titles to be released on the old-school platform, it was also considered one of most anticipated games to become available on Nintendo’s downloadable game service. The game tells the story of Ness and his gang of friends as they try to defend the Earth from the alien menace led by Giygas.
The general plot may seem rather simple, but the game’s witty humor and original setting gave it the distinction of being one of the most memorable titles on the SNES. Rated “E for Everyone” by the ESRB, we can expect to relive all the wacky alien busting adventures of Ness and company in the very near future.
