ESRB rates Crystal Defenders

Crystal Defenders - Image 1This is as good a confirmation as we can get. Although it’s not straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, this will have to do. The ESRB has rated Square Enix‘s Crystal Defenders, giving it a capital E, and in so doing, basically confirming its arrival to North America. Just early this week, it was announced that it will be making the leap from the iPhone to consoles, via the XBL, PSN, and WiiWare.

Here’s what ESRB had to say about why this title got an E:

This is a strategy game in which players arrange small soldiers around a winding path to defend against waves of enemies. As the small enemy sprites (various creatures that look like wolves, ostriches, and spiders) pass by the stationed soldiers, they are attacked with arrows and swords. Characters disappear in flashes of light when defeated, while “zapping” sounds accompany each hit.
