Europe also confirmed to get Splatterhouse next year

Splatterhouse - Image 1Splatterhouse (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) is definitely getting all ready to splatter up your consoles by 2010. Last June, it was confirmed that the US release has been bumped up to 2010. Today, Namco Bandai has sent out a press release confirming (re-affirming, if you must), the said release window, this time also applied for Europe and PAL territories.

(PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) is definitely getting all ready to splatter up your consoles by 2010. Last June, it was confirmed that the US release has been bumped up to 2010. Today, Namco Bandai has sent out a press release confirming (re-affirming, if you must), the said release window, this time also applied for Europe and PAL territories.

Splatterhouse stars college beefcake Rick Taylor in search of his beloved Jennifer. His search brings him to the eerie West Mansion, stumbling upon the “Terror Mask” along the way. This mask gives him some powers of awesomeness (ie. “raw power of a freight train and the physical charms of a giant rippling rack of barbecue ribs).

Hiroaki Ochiai, VP Sales and Marketing of Namco Bandai Europe, beams with pride as she talks about Rick’s adventures:

Today’s console technology is literally decades ahead of what powered Splatterhouse when it made its first indelible bloody mark on gaming, which means we now have gore like never before for all the fans and the new generation of gamers lining up to get grips with Rick. If you have the stomach for it, there’s nothing more satisfying than beating a hell beast to death with its own leg.

We’ll keep you for more updates on Splatterhouse‘s console remakes.
