Europe PSN gets the goods: Folklore demo for limited time
Since not everyone has the time or the money to scurry over to Germany for the Leipzig Games Convention (GC), Game Republic will make one of their upcoming PlayStation 3 video games, Folklore, available to the public via the Europe PlayStation Store.
In case you don’t have the slightest idea what Folklore is all about, it’s all about the strange occurrences in a town named Doolin. Two strangers, Ellen and Keats, are drawn to the town and eventually to the other worlds that open up to them. The dark and wonder-filled adventure will open its doors to PAL PS3 owners starting August 22 to 31. Yup, you read it right. The Folklore demo is only available for a limited time.
Marketing Manager PSN, Isabelle Tomatis had this to say:
Folklore is a game we are really excited about and we recognise that not everyone can afford to get to Leipzig. PSN gives us a new way of talking to and rewarding our loyal fans so we have decided for the first time to get them on the inside track with the early release of this demo! We hope they enjoy it and look forward to the feedback.
In the said demo, players will be able to experience the unique gameplay for both characters and explore the lands of Faery Realm and B000UW1YBW. In addition, players will also be able to meet the Folks (no, not their parents), the creatures that inhabit the other worlds, and capture them via SIXAXIS controls. You can stop and enjoy the scenery as well.
At any rate, if you’re one of the lucky folks who happen to be in Europe, better check out the Folklore demo now. After August 31, the demo disappears into oblivion (and hopefully into the North American PSN) so you better try it out or miss out.
