Europe to get Mario Kart Wii this year instead of Smash Bros. Brawl?
Gaming site N-Europe has reported that a reliable source of theirs has leaked that Mario Kart for the Wii will be released in Europe late in 2007 after it gets showcased in this year’s E3 show.
The source also said that the region won’t get Super Smash Bros. Brawl until early 2008. In contrast, Nintendo Wii fans in North America will get their hands on Brawl but will have to wait until next year for their shot at Mario Kart Wii.
No clear reason was stated for the trade-off but whines and moans are expected to come from both regions because of the development, if the claim does hold truth in it.
The update follows earlier statements made by Patrick Nagel, Nintendo Germany‘s Deputy Marketing Manager when he said that Europe is likely to get Mario Kart ahead of the US. We’ll fill you in as soon as new word is out to affirm or deny the buzz.
