Even more Arena Season 2 updates

 

In a previous article, we gave you some details on Arena Season 2 in Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft. It seems they’ve added more details that Arena players should know. (Although you may already know all this if you’ve been keeping up in the forums.)

The biggest and most asked question is regarding the scheduling of Arena Season 2. When will it start and when does Season 1 end? Well, the guys at Blizzard have said that “the end date for the first season isn’t currently set.” “We will let you know about two weeks in advance before the start of the second season,” they said. OK, now that that question has been answered (somewhat), we can focus on some other details regarding the next season.

How are Arena points awarded? Well, they gave the skinny on this one saying that points are awarded every week but tallied during maintenance. A multiplier is applied depending on the type of match that the players participate in.

• 5v5 matches will award a full allotment of arena points.
• 3v3 matches will award 80% of the allotment.
• 2v2 matches will award 60% of the allotment.
