EverQuest announces punishment for AA exploiters
Even though we are not giant fans of EverQuest ourselves, the alternate advancement exploit that happened this month is so not cool. We mean, try working hard for days to gain AA points then here comes players happily cashing in bonechips for experience. It’s such a pity that the development team won’t be naming names publicly.
As for their solution, it would be swift and just, so to speak. Kytherea has posted on EQLive the punishment that will be given to those who participated. “What is going to happen is that anyone who participated in the exploit will be selectively corrected and will be losing ALL AA points they earned on the day(s) they participated in the exploit,” wrote Kytherea.
Kytherea further writes that “Any AA points that may have been legitimately earned on the day they participated in the exploit will unfortunately be lost. Consider this a penalty fine for participating in the exploit.” Parties not concerned need not worry regarding the matter. However, should players feel that they were inadvertently affected by the correction, it is advised they contact the CS immediately.
