EverQuest II forum has precious pieces of game info
Site forums exist basically for community members to hold discussions. From time to time, precious pieces of information could actually be found buried under tons of flames and “first posts.” Epic MMO EverQuest II of course, experiences the same.
To save you guys from shovelling dirt and reading torn treasure maps, we dug out the latest ones. Take note, these are not just useful information, they even came from the game’s developers and designers themselves.
The Return of the Gods have been heavily speculated. Players even can’t help it but wonder what repercussions would have it on the rulers of Norrath in Echoes of Faydwer. Vhalen in a post declares, “The Overlord and Antonia are not just important rulers in the Age of Destiny; they are pivotal forces in the ongoing saga of EverQuest II.”
The designer continues in a rather teasingly but insightful manner: “The gods will play their part in this saga as will some of the major personas of Norrath. They are all pieces of the puzzle. The day will come when ruler meets adventurer… or even when ruler meets ruler.”
Regarding Shattered Lands’ mysterious backstory, Vhalen again reveals, “The Shattered Lands sustained astronomical damage when most of the Underfoot collapsed beneath, what was, Old Antonica. Due to that damage, there are many small isles that exist within the seas, especially the Tranquil Sea. The Isles of Refuge are comprised of a number of adjacent isles, not just one. There is more out there than you will see on any map. I am sure the Far Seas Trading Company prefers it that way.”
On a lighter and slightly off topic note, we also came across Owlchick’s take on the sixth official podcast. The designer posted: “Aieeee! As I told Brenlo when leaving the studio, I have too much respect for our players to inflict my singing upon them.”
