EVO 2007 Lineup announced!
Get those combos synced up as EVO 2007 gets underway. Surprises are bound to pop up once the biggest fighting game gathering in the planet take place. The anticipation has come to a climax as Virtua Fighter 5 joins the stable of already impressive brawlgames. Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is also back and Guilty Gear Slash is once again out for more blood.
Probably the most welcome addition is that of Super Smash Brothers Melee. Fighters have been clamoring for it and now it’s here to add a lighter side to fighting. Old favorites Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike and Street Fighter 2 Turbo are back in the house for some nostalgic action.
This year’s gathering also gives aspiring champs a bigger challenge as more qualifiers will advance to the championship rounds with the addition of EVO South. The tournament will be hosted in the ScreenBum Arcade in the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas happening on March 10-11.
EVO 2007 promises to bring in more challengers, more exciting events and bigger prizes. We’ll keep you posted for more developments.
