Excite Truck Gameplay Trailer
The euphoria caused by the Wii Event has settled and it’s time to turn our focus on the games that will debut together with the Wii come November 19. One game that’s been introduced without much fanfare is Excite Truck. It’s akin to the 1984 motocross racing game Excitebike, so it will definitely have instant name recall. We doubt if the Wii game will feature motorbikes, but we do know that the gameplay will be as exciting. We only needed to watch the gameplay trailer to know this.
In the video, you’d see “big damn trucks” race against each other over rough terrains and unfriendly weather conditions. It’s interesting to see those trucks mimic motorbikes as they turbo jump over bridges and sky-high obstacles. We even had a glimpse of what appears to be a portion of the Great Wall of China.
Of course, the main feature of the game is the tilt-based control system. It’s been said that Excite Truck will not use the Nunchuk attachment, but instead, it will be controlled entirely by the Wiimote. To steer the truck of choice, a player should tilt the Wiimote. That’s pretty much what we do back in the days, only we didn’t have the tilt-based controls. That alone is enough to make you want to try this game out.
Not convinced? Check out the gameplay trailer.
