F1 Championship “Raceway” trailer

  

We’ve seen the past trailers of Formula One Championship edition for the PS3. Can you imagine how far the game has evolved from being the foggy videos shown back in May and at the TGS to the neat racing phenomenon that it is today? You can see the difference in the downloadable video here. Collision, splatters in wet environment, breakneck speed… sure we won’t expect a lot as this video is pretty short. But it’s the stuff that the next-gen graphics are made of.

The great thing is that Sony has just announced that Formula One Championship will be released in the U.S. in 2007. We do like the fact that the graphics are completely high up in the bar, especially when you notice that the F1 cars were obsessively modeled after the real ones. Cars losing a wheel at a wrong spin suggests utter realism, but players are going to miss the “rumble” factor still. It would be hard not to notice the difference.

Wish we could throw in lots more screenies but for the meantime, let’s just enjoy the video.
