Fable 2 dev diaries episode 3: of geeks and partying Lionhead style

The lads from Lionhead Studios are back for their third video diary, as they explain more on upcoming Xbox 360 title Fable 2‘s concepts that promise to make it “the greatest game of all time.” In this diary entry, we also learn about geeks among the developers, the Central Technology Group (CTG), and drama in combat.

From what we’ve seen in previous video diaries, a lot of work is being put into emotion-inducing pets and satisfying realistic combat. Such elements are integrated into Fable 2 thanks to the CTG, the group of folks responsible for creating tools for everyone working on the game. You’ll see them in this video, both at work and while in costumes during Lionhead’s 10th anniversary bash.

Among other ideas discussed is dramatic combat which aims to give Fable 2 players the sense of purpose for every enemy hacked down. You’ll find out how this works, along with a snippet of the cosplay-filled party at Lionhead by watching the embed below.
