Heads up, Square Enix fans! News has trickled in for all three entries to the Fabula Nova Crystallis series. The news comes from an interview with Tetsuya Nomura.
The biggest news? We’ll finally get to watch a battle scene from Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) by the end of the year. Looks like we’ll finally get to see how the gameplay system works.
According to Autumn Thread, who posted the news on NeoGAF, the staff of Square Enix also finds the Blu-ray format to be a boon to development. The “how” is a bit ambiguous, but it makes you wonder how they’d take to programming for the a different format once they start on the Xbox 360 version.
More news on Final Fantasy XIII – or more accurately, the lack of it – it seems Squeenix has no plans to release the voice cast of the game just yet.
On Final Fantasy Versus XIII, it’s revealed that the “Goddess Etro” mentioned in a dialogue between Noctis and Stella is not the goddess shown in the painting drawn by Amano (the one in the screenshot above).
On Final Fantasy Agito XIII, it seems that the current battle interface we see in released media is only temporary. You know how we always only see three people in battle-like scenes? Yeah, there will be more people in a party as production advances.
