Factor 5 working on two titles for Sony’s EDI
In an exclusive interview with Gamasutra, Factor 5 co-founder and president Julian Eggebrecht revealed that aside from their current project for the PS3 (that would be Lair, for those who don’t know), they’re also working on two EDI downloadable games for the said console.
What the heck is EDI, some of you may ask. EDI is Sony‘s E-Distribution Initiative, which, from the name itself, spells out on-line-down-load-able-games baybee! So anyway, Eggebrecht says that after they finish working on Lair, they will be jumping on the EDI bandwagon and start working on two digitally-distributed titles.
Eggebrecht also says that he sees much potential for Sony’s EDI, even adding that “…personally as a director, I think it’s one of these things that we in the creative community need a little bit.” So while we wait for the EDI to kick off, you can look forward to Factor 5‘s Lair , which is scheduled to come out April next year.
