Famitsu FFIII Interview Reveals Details
Wow. The FFIII news just keeps on coming! Yesterday, we revealed new scans, a new website, and screenshot comparisons between the NES and DS versions. We now bring you the details from an interview that Famitsu had with Asano, Producer, and Tanaka, Producer/Director.
- Both the top and bottom screen will be used
- Fully 3D
- Map will be on the top screen when in overworld and towns
- Dungeons will have no map
- Bottom screen will be the main gameplay screen so that the touchscreen can be utilized
- You can use the stylus to navigate menus, select items, select battle commands, etc.
- Camera will not be stationary during cut-scenes
- Main party contains three males and one female
- Characters will have names and personalities, but storyline will not be changed
- Additional scenes and dialogue will be added to develop the characters’ histories
- Capacity Points (CP) are needed to change jobs
- Defeating enemies will let you earn CP as well as Gil and experience points
- CP was added to balance job system
- Foundation of job system has no changed
- 23 different jobs
- You will be able to save anywhere
As a side note, they confirmed that the Final Fantasy III Wonderswan Color remake was scrapped.
