Okay, maybe this is the Metal Gear movie we’re actually waiting for. Maybe. There’s a fanmovie based on the Metal Gear franchise up and about on the Internet right now. It’s called “Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy”, described to be as such:
A movie inspired by Hideo Kojima‘s videogame series “Metal Gear Solid.” It is not a Hollywood-style production, better a fan movie made out of the passion of some fans, non profit and no budget: it will be released on the Net for free during 2009.
Well, we’ve been complaining a whole lot about how Hollywood remakes ruin great franchises. Let’s see how this one pans out, eh? If you want to check it out, you may do so by heading to the source link below.
Unfortunately, though, as of our most recent visit to the site, they’re having technical difficulties, hence making the site inaccessible. The downloadable files are being mirrored to other sites, though, so you might wanna give it a shot.
I smell a Rotten Tomatoes review coming up soon!
