Fast and the Furious racing onto the PSP

In yet another movie tie-in and also yet another racing game, Namco is set to release this summer The Fast and the Furious for the PSP and also the PS2. According to Namco the game ‘will be set in a world related to, yet separate from’ the upcoming feature film due this summer, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Similar to the latest in the Need for Speed series, the Fast and the Furious places its emphasis on the underground scene of drift racing in Japan. Gamers race on city streets in literally hundreds of licensed cars that can all be upgraded with more than 500 authentic body kits from manufacturers.

Lets hope the game is similar to the vehicles in the first Fast and the Furious, and judging by the trailer to the upcoming movie, the vehicles in the latest movie seem to be just as good!
