Fatal Inertia kaleidoscopic screens
Back in the old days, boxing is considered a hazardous sport. Nowadays we consider skateboarding dangerous. Should some of you think that we’ve reached the summit of extreme sports, we suggest you keep that thought to yourself until you witness Fatal Inertia. Set in the virtual 22nd century, this hovercraft racing game is far more dangerous despite its kaleidoscopic look.
Each hover vehicle is equipped with magnets, cluster bombs, rockets, force shields, and a whole lotta more enhancements. Another exciting feature is that the players can actually destroy the environment to their competitors’ detriment, and this is something most racing games do not offer. If this isn’t dangerous enough, then we don’t know what is anymore.
Koei and Sony jointly announced Fatal Inertia as a launch title for the PS3. However, hushed talks hint that it has been pushed back. Launch title or not, it is guaranteed that this game has already gathered a loyal following.
