Nintendo Wii console and Wiimote controller - Image 1Developer Tantric recently got around to release another update to the FCE Ultra NES homebrew emulator for the Wii, FCE Ultra GX. The new build (version 2.0.2) was able to fix several bugs and has also updated its core emulator to 0.92.13pre.

Most of the bugs fixed were tied mostly to integral functions, such as its auto-save and network features, among other things. FCE Ultra GX 2.0.2 upgraded its core and based it on the 0.92.13pre build of the emulator, as opposed to the previous 0.92.12 version.

Anyway, here are the details to all the new changes since our last coverage:

  • Fixed network freeze-up problem
  • Zapper now mapped to A and B
  • Fixed auto-save feature
  • Performance slowdowns on Gamecube should be fixed
  • Update core to 0.98.13pre
  • Will now attempt to load old save states with CRC filename
