FIFA wins over Gears: Duh, it’s the UK…

Gears of Football

So what’s hotter than Gears of War right now? If you’re in the UK it has to be football – or “soccer” as people in the US call it.

Electronic Arts has taken FIFA 07 back to the top of all three UK formats charts, knocking last weeks number one, Gears of War, down to number three. Taking number two position this week is Need for Speed Carbon. Lot’s of other games shifted places, but you were probably expecting that to happen, interests change after all.

At number four you’ve got The Sims 2: Pets, and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 climbs to number five. WWE Smackdown Vs Raw drops to number six. Call of Duty 3 stays at number seven, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy stays at eight, and believe it or not Bratz: Forever Diamonds is at nine. Brats… ergh.

The oddity here is that there’s only one new entry in the UK top forty, and that’s Guitar Hero II making its debut at number 16.
