One of the games shown to the GameStoppers was Electronic Arts‘ Fight Night: Round 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360). EA showed off some of the game’s first in-game footage, and while the visuals isn’t a huge jump from Round 3 according to N’Gai Croal, he did point out that the buzzwords being thrown about by EA show promise.
These include physics-based boxing, “R.E.A.L. A.I.”, and improvements to the game’s close-range boxing mechanic. Oh, and there’s also a marked increase in the importance of height and reach differentiation.
That’s pretty much everything. No target release date or any other gameplay tidbits, but it all sounds pretty darn good, don’t you agree?
