In an article from The Washington Post, it is reported that Fils-Aime described the newest Sony handheld as having a “fundamental concept problem.”
To quote in full:
(The PSP Go may have a) fundamental concept problem in terms of ‘Who’s it for?’ and ‘What’s the benefit?’ I have the utmost respect for all our competitors, but it’s interesting to try and answer the consumer question of ‘What’s in it for me?’ in that product.
Not only did he take a polite swipe (but a swipe, nonetheless) at the PSP, he also discussed a bit about their stand on entering into the mobile market. “We don’t have a desire to get into the phone space. We think the game business is competitive enough.”
Well, can you guys provide an answer to his fundamental questions?
