Final Fantasy III Delayed

Unlike much of the Final Fantasy III news we get, this does affect North America. Unfortunately, it’s very bad news. FFIII was set to debut in North America on November 1st, 2006. It has now been delayed to November 14th, 2006. Why the two-week delay? Well, Final Fantasy V, a port for the GBA, is being shipped on November 1st and Square Enix does not want the two titles competing for shelf space and our hard-earned money! This fall should be very interesting indeed. We’ll be receiving Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy XII all in one season! Final Fantasy V is being published by Nintendo and not Square Enix.
