Finally! FFT Lion War screenshots!
After a decade of waiting and just when the Final Fantasy Tactics cultists have almost lost hope of a true sequel to the PlayStation classic, we’re getting our first glimpses of the true successor to the strategy-RPG throne in these screenshots!
We came across a Japanese site and discovered quite a bit of information which may help ease the pain for those aching for updates. Much of the plot will revolve on the original concept of the first FFT which conveys a gripping tale of friendship and betrayal involving six kingdoms, power-hungry nobles, a conniving church and an evil cloaked in holiness. It is unclear whether Ramza will remain as the main character in this game, but chances are high because this story happens in almost the same time frame as when the original cast lived.
Some screens suggest that Ramza is still trying to come to grips with his duties as a member of the Beoulve clan and his moral duties to expose the secrets of the sacred Zodiac stones. We’ll report updates as soon as confirmations are made.
Sure enough, new battle and gameplay mechanics will be present in the PSP sequel. One of the interesting additions is that of the mysterious “Horsemen” whose nature is still unknown.
More screens await after the jump!
