Boasting privileges aside, it’s still pretty cool to be able to claim that you are the first person ever to finish Halo 3 – a game thousands of others around the world have been waiting for. Every game can only have one gamer (outside of the developers of course) who can claim he or she has finished it first. For Halo 3, that gamer is Francesca Reyes, editor-in-chief of the Official Xbox Magazine.

Reyes has played, finished, and completed her review of Bungie StudiosHalo 3: a whopping ten-page turner. In an interview with GamesRadar, Reyes expressed how even she can’t believe it herself:

I think I was kind of in a state of shock for most of it. […] It didn’t really hit me until I was back in San Francisco and eating a big bowl of ramen at some neighborhood joint. I sat there at the table with my bowl of ramen and a copy of Wired (the one with Master Chief on the cover which I bought for the flight home) – and I thought to myself: Wow. I can’t believe I just did something that hundreds of thousands of people have been waiting years to do. I can’t believe I just did something that I’VE been waiting years to do. It was one of those epiphany moments when I got really, really happy and realized how much I loved my job.

And she can’t spill the beans just yet (even though she really, really wants to). You have to read it when her review comes out in the latest Official Xbox Magazine that will be released on the same day as Halo 3 on September 25.
