A lot of video game boxing fans were saddened when news broke out that EA was closing down its Chicago studio responsible for the Fight Night series. A lot of us feared that we won’t see a high-quality boxing sim for the next few years, but now there’s hope that we will in the next few months.
Coming to the rescue of the sweet science is 2K Games studio Venom Games with Don King Presents: Prizefighter. They’re prepping up another round of pugilistic fun named after the legendary boxing promoter whom we all probably recognize for his accomplishments and hairstyle.
Featuring nice visuals, realistic boxing action and a deep career mode, Don King Presents: Prizefighter should prove interesting to boxing enthusiasts and casual fans alike. It’s set for release in Q2 2008 on the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS, so watch out for it.
