Tired of watching videos over and over? If you’ve been keeping tabs on Ensemble Studios‘ Halo Wars for the Microsoft Xbox 360, here are some screenshots you might like. Unlike the rest that we’ve seen before, what you’ll find below are taken from the game’s multiplayer mode.
Elites, warthogs, Covenant scarabs – they’re all there in blue versus red head-to-head fashion. Looking at how hectic battles will be according to what we see, we can’t help but wonder if the Xbox 360 controller can actually substitute for mouse and keyboard in real-time strategy games.
Developers say Halo Wars will be the console RTS breakthrough, but micro-management with only a few buttons to work with doesn’t sound like an easy task. Looks like we’ll have to wait until the game’s release to find out if it’s something Master Chief will be proud of. Word on development should come up soon since the game is slated to hit shelves this year, so watch this space for updates!
