First screens: THQ and Volition’s Saints Row 2
THQ announced that Saints Row 2 has been in development since May, and fortunately for fans of the original Saints Row, the game is coming along nicely. Screenshots of Volition‘s Saints Row 2 were recently released and we know a lot of you out there are raring to catch a peek.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Saints Row series, it’s best described as a sandbox title much like the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The urban jungle is your world here and you’ll be given objectives that you have to accomplish if you want to progress story-wise. The manner and order in how you do the tasks are completely up to you.
The game is set for release on both the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles. No exact date is given on when the touted worldwide release will be, but pundits say that it may very well veer close to Grand Theft Auto IV‘s spring debut.
