First screenshots of Guitar Hits 2006

 

At the start of this year, developer Ubisoft confirmed the rumors about their rather mysterious title Guitar Hits 2006. It seems now that they are somewhat in a hurry to release this one because the last time we checked, it’s already 2007. Nah, kidding aside, it would be good to have Guitar Hits out at once as it will provide variety to the ever growing PSP games library.

Anyway, it feels like our earlier speculation about this one is correct. In case you are not aware, Ubisoft came up with a number of PC products called Guitar Hits as well. Those aim to teach users how to play the guitar by providing tablature, videos, and a playlist to practice with.

The screenshots, especially the one above, show that the same applies to the PSP version. There’s a section that tackles the history of guitars as well as the different methods of playing it. Frankly, the playlist caught our attention more as it includes some of our favorite songs like Oasis’ “Wonderwall” and Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song”.

Guitar Hits 2006 is expected to be released first quarter of 2007.
