Five New Lord of the Rings Online Screens!
So this is what Gandalf probably meant by the coming storm. Turbine has released five new screenshots of The Lord of the Rings Online: The Shadows of Angmar on their official website. Nope, these aren’t just those “Turbine landmark features” we’ve… featured before, like the Bag End and Bree. These are pictures of the wide, wild world outside.
The artistry depicted in these shots could probably make Tolkien proud… or maybe Peter Jackson, but you know what we mean. Turbine’s commitment to capture the world of Middle-Earth also extends beyond the recognizable landmarks, don’t it?
The Lord of the Rings Online is currently in its beta test phase in North America, with nearly 200,000 players subscribed. It will be sights like these that will greet the free-roamers of Middle-Earth (no matter what your race may be) as they, well, roam freely about the lands. Let’s just hope there are no Neekerbreekers or Bog-lurkers – or something far, far worse – on their heels.
