Five new monstrous Hellgate: London screenshots

London’s certainly turned out for the worse in Flagship Studios‘ upcoming MMORPG, Hellgate: London, and we get to see just how bad things have gotten in this screenshot update of the game. Giant Monsters, giant fissures, giant hovering eyeballs – one thing’s for sure, it’s not helping the tourism industry any, but that’s why the players have those big guns in the first place, right? Right.

Looking at the screenshots, the guys over at Flagship certainly has their act together in making what once was an illustrious example of civilization into a dark, twisted, burning gate into Hell. The buildings certainly have a bleak yet imposing look upon them, even more so the ones with fissures across them. And let’s not forget the monsters – there’s one in particular who towers over your own character by a good bajillion feet. We ask, “Do we really have to kill that thing? Seriously?”

Setpiece or no, the monster could probably squish an enterprising player (or party) underneath its tower-like implements. In the meantime, check out these screenshots of Hellgate: London as we wait for the game’s release.
