One of these companies, thatgamecompany, was able to feature a couple of new details about the studio’s second project, Flower.

Hints of the game were first sniffed out during September’s Tokyo Game Show, but details were rather scant. True to its namesake, Flower will be based around raising… uh, flowers, as well as other traditional gameplay elements which center on the whole stimuli-reaction concept as a way to interact with the game’s environment.

In an interview with thatgamecompany’s President Kellee Santiago, she mentioned that the game will “focus on micro and close up moments as well as the macro – this relationship would be part of the experience.”

If it’s anything like the company’s previous game, flOw, it’ll probably play much into the gamers’ subconscious and have a very surrealistic feel overall. So far, the game has moved to the prototype stage already and the team is currently looking into expanding the original game concept without ruining the whole effect with too many traditional gameplay elements.

There’s been no solid release date for Flower, but Santiago says that we can expect the game to come out on the PlayStation Network some time next year.
