Yet another title is joining this generation’s ever-growing archive of first-person shooters. Some of these shoot aliens, some shoot zombies, some shoot Nazi Zombies, and some shoot big, annoying freaks called Tank. This time, you’ll be shooting the crap out of heretics and demons as you find yourself in the thick of political and religious intrigue in Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition (PS3, Xbox 360, PC).

Flying Fish Works today announced that the title is set for 2010, at which point, we’ll get to enjoy the 13th Century medieval age and all its brutal glory. You will play as an emissary of the Inquisition, and your job is to uncover the Mystery of the Inquisition. Whatever that is, it brings you face to face with heretics and the usual hordes of bloodthirsty beasts from hell. Luckily, he’s got some mad skills and spiritual abilities to take them all out with.
Says Simon Grabowski, CEO of Flying Fish Works:
Our vision is to create a historical fiction game that will put the player in the center of the medieval world, full of its cruelty, intransigence and diversified beliefs. In this ruthless reality, the player will become an eyewitness of great political machinations, unseen brutality and betrayal. He will pave his way to the truth just to find that it is more horrible and dreadful than anyone could imagine.
