Troy “Aether” Hewitt, Director of Community Relations for Flying Lab Software and Pirates of the Burning Sea, recently apologized on behalf of Flying Lab and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) to PotBS players for the delay in the pre-order process of the game. Mr. Hewitt also said that Flying Lab will make sure that the MMORPG’s players will get all the information they need before the PotBS pre-order release date on the week of November 13.

The hold up in the PotBS pre-order process, Mr. Troy Hewitt explained, had to do with snafu caused by SOE game Gods & Heroes pre-order box being in stores after its cancellation. Apparently, retailers and SOE were too busy processing all the returns of the Gods & Heroes pre-order boxes to adequately attend to the Pirates of the Burning Sea pre-order boxes.

As a concession to disgruntled players, Mr. Hewitt offered a sneak peek of the Pirates of the Burning Sea soundtrack CD in the form of four downloadable music tracks named after four ports in the game. Of special note are the French and the Spanish port themes-of the four tracks, the French theme is the only one with vocals, while the Spanish theme has a lively “Pirates of the Caribbean” feel to it that we think it should’ve been designated as the Pirate port theme instead.
