Football stars to help promote Mario Strikers Charged
It looks like it’s all systems go for Nintendo when it comes to football video game Mario Strikers Charged. The official site for the title was updated recently and we finally came to know yesterday how the game’s Invite A Friend feature works.
Nintendo UK now announces that the first ever online title for the Wii will be promoted by father and son football players Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips. A TV ad, which will start airing on May 19 in the market, shows off the two line up against Mario and other characters.
Another scene features Ian and Shaun at home battling another team of opponents online using the WiFi connection. The partnership doesn’t end there as Ian Wright is scheduled to be at retail chain GAME (Oxford Street branch) on May 25, launch day.
Fans who will be there at around 9 a.m. will get the chance to play against the star. Also, Wright will be happy to sign Wii hardware and software for fans. Mario Strikers Charged will be priced for 50 Euros or approximately around US$ 67.
