For the sweet-tooth in you: The Legend of Ares Halloween Patch

We haven’t posted much about The Legend of Ares for quite some time now. However, since lots of MMOs have their own gimmicks for this Halloween season, some of you Ares players might be interested to know that there will be some tricking and treating going on in your realm during the next couple of days.

The Halloween event will start today, October 25, right after server maintenance, and end on November 15 (right before the next server maintenance). As with any other trick-or-treating activity here in the “real world”, this virtual sweeties-gathering spree will allow you to collect candies from baddies as they drop them.

How does it go? Well, the long and short of it is that, when you defeat enemies, they will drop Pumpkin Seeds. Gather enough of these and you’d be able to “purchase” a Trick or Treat Basket and Costumes. Once you have these, you can collect candies from the various monsters and creatures around you.

Of course, with this Halloween Patch, the New Invention event has already ended, and orichalcon stones won’t be dropped anymore. There’s also going to be some changes to the inventory list, including two new spots for equipment.

The list below outlines the “changelog” for this Halloween Patch:

1. Halloween event “Trick or Treat” will begin!

A.Dates:

• Start Date: 10/25/2006 (Right after the server maintenance)
• End Date: 11/15/2006 (Right before the server maintenance)
• At the server maintenance in 11/21/2006, all event related items will be disappeared.

B. Contents

• Most of monster will be dropping Pumpkin Seed event item.
• You may achieve a Trick or Treat Basket and Costumes with certain numbers of Pumpkin Seed. There are 3 leveled classes for each Costume, and there are different benefits given for each classes. You may achieve Costumes as much as you want. Costumes are not tradable. You will get Costumes randomly for each levels.
• You must wear your Costume and bring a Trick or Treat Basket in order to achieve candies. There are lots of different kinds of candies that will help your game playing. Depending on level of Costume and its types, you will get different numbers and types of candies. You may achieve candies as long as you have your Costume on. Candies cannot go into your personal storage. You may not achieve more candies if you have any candy left in your inventory. In order to get more candies, you have to use them all completely.

2. New Invention event will be ended.

• Orihalcon stone will not be dropped anymore.
• New Invention event NPCs and event items will be deleted. (The belt will not be deleted.)

3. Addition in inventory window

• The equip spots of bracelet and ring will be switched.
• There will be two additional spots of equipment.
• Because of the change in addition of the equipment spots, some items in your inventory will be moved to the other spots in your own inventory.
