Forever Blue glitch captured on video

With all the diving and exploring that Nintendo’s latest undersea diving title, Forever Blue (or Eternal Ocean for the rest of us not in Japan) offers, it’s not surprising that a few scuba-toting adventurers have already discovered a mystery about the title, and lovingly captured on video. Now, before you ask, it’s not some secret underwater monster or anything of the sort – no, nothing that exciting. Rather, it’s a glitch, and a very annoying one at that.

As you can see (or hear) on the video embed below, the music cuts out as the player is trying to load the aquarium part of the game – replaced by an ear-piercing whine that’s definitely anything BUT the peaceful opera music fit for underwater exploration. The music, fortunately, resumes, but then cuts off again, before getting replaced by cute Japanese girls singing while jacked up in sugar.

The glitch, as Nintendo’s official website explains, is related to the Shark Ray you’ll be able to encounter in Forever Blue. When you try to place the Shark Ray in the aquarium for viewing, the music cuts out. Not that major a glitch, but it’s definitely annoying, and Nintendo advises that players avoid trying to view the Shark Ray in the aquarium lest they want their speakers to blare out the whine.

It’s a bit odd that Nintendo let a glitch so glaring pass by, but at least we know that they’re already on the case. Updates about this strange turn of events as they happen, so watch this space.
